Victoriae Navalis Monimentum (Print)

from $120.00

This piece represents only a small portion of a much larger statue that remains among many that stand outside of the Venetian Arsenal in Venice Italy.  The monument in its entirety was created in memory of the Venetian victory over the Ottoman fleet (Battle of Lepanto, 1571).  This is the first painting where I experimented using overlapping canvases, simply for creative composition. The original painting is actually made up of two overlapping canvases, with the second canvas extending out to the right of the painting. The prints have been edited to create a more focused product of the main body of the soldier.

Limited and open-edition fine art giclée prints are produced by Cimarron Wholesale in Calgary, Canada. Prints are made on the Epson Professional P9000 printer with Ultrachrome archival inks, on a poly/ cotton blend textured canvas with a water-resistant finish. This printer allows for the detail and color gradients required to meet high-quality standards with an output resolution of up to 2880 dpi. The final step is a spray application of canvas guard water-based liquid coating providing enhanced UV protection, chemical and abrasion resistance.

Prints are rolled and shipped in a protective tube, and do not include any other objects (including frames) shown in photos.

All three print series are unsigned and unlimited.
